Weisser Engineering & Surveying (WES) is a multi-disciplined civil engineering and land surveying firm headquartered in the Energy Corridor of West Houston, Texas. Founded in 1967 by Frederick C. Weisser, PE, RPLS, WES has delivered more than 57 years of full-service Civil Engineering, Subsurface Utility Engineering, Land Surveying, Platting, Mapping, Digital Scanning, and Permitting services to a diversified range of clients across the South-Central United States. WES serves the Public Infrastructure, Private Development, Energy, and Industrial sectors, with particular strength in oil and gas facilities and midstream projects cultivated since a long-term client relationship with Phillips Petroleum dating to 1988. Since 2023, majority ownership is held by Taylor Sass and Ramsey Sass, both long-tenured employees and Registered Choctaw Native Americans.

Taylor Sass
President & CEO
Taylor Sass joined WES as a long-term employee and acquired majority ownership of the firm in 2023 alongside Ramsey Sass. Taylor is a Registered Choctaw Native American.
Walter P. Sass
Principal
RPLS
Walter Sass has owned and operated WES since 1987, when he and Barry T. Hufford acquired the firm from founder Frederick C. Weisser after twenty years of service. In 2026, Alfred State College, State University of New York awarded Walter an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters at its 115th Commencement Ceremony.
