Leaders in Structural & Earthquake Engineering
W.E. Gundy & Associates, Inc. (WEGAI) is a structural engineering practice specializing in seismic qualification and structural evaluation of electrical-mechanical equipment and support structures for seismic, wind, ice, snow, wave, and operational loads. Established in 1981, it maintains a specialized focus in the seismic qualification and design of electrical substation transmission and distribution equipment as well as building electrical-mechanical systems worldwide. WEGAI provides comprehensive shake table testing and finite element modeling (FEM) analysis to validate structural dynamics and verify compliance with global standards such as IEEE-693, Eurocode, and OSHPD OSP. The engineering team holds Professional Structural Engineer (SE) and Civil Engineer (PE) licenses across numerous states, with NCEES registration enabling expedited reciprocity nationwide.
