Projects

Electric Motor Upgrade

Automotive

Demonstrated advanced electric drive technology inside a mid-size SUV with high refinement and show-car quality. Work involved reverse engineering all Tesla interfaces, redesigning front and rear subframes, fabricating custom half-shafts, and building plug-and-play high- and low-voltage harnesses.

Powertrain and Battery Upfit

Automotive

Integrated electric drive technology into a full-size pickup truck without major chassis modifications. Engineered a compact under-hood auxiliary system, a custom battery enclosure for chassis fitment, high- and low-voltage harnesses, and a supervisor/gateway module for torque management.

Functional Safety

Automotive

Reviewed and corrected item definitions and hazard analyses (HARA) to achieve compliance with ISO 26262. Prepared safety goals, fault tolerant time interval (FTTI) calculations, fault tree analyses, design failure mode and effects analyses (DFMEA), and safety concepts.

Drive-by-Wire Controls and Systems Integration

Automotive

Developed a safety-critical drive-by-wire control system using disciplined two-week sprints. Structured requirements, coded the control software, executed verification and validation testing, performed bench testing, and supported full vehicle integration.

Fuel Cell Class 8 Tractor

Transportation

Developed and built a Class 8 Fuel Cell EV drayage truck by integrating two 100 kW off-the-shelf fuel cell systems. Designed high- and low-voltage electrical architectures, packaged the fuel cell thermal systems, and sized the radiator subassemblies.

Hybrid Trailer Controls and System Refinement

Transportation

Refined and integrated hybrid trailer control systems to support electrified axle functionality. Implemented vehicle control unit (VCU) controls, integrated electric vehicle communication controllers (EVCC), developed custom display software, and engineered robust enclosures.
