Square Root Services, LLC is an integrated civil engineering, surveying, and materials testing firm headquartered in Hobbs, New Mexico, with a satellite office in Albuquerque. With more than 50 employees, SRS delivers services from planning through construction for commercial, municipal, energy, transportation, and residential clients across New Mexico and the Southwest. Civil Engineering
Civil engineering for commercial, municipal, and private development projects across the Southwest. Services span site data acquisition and evaluation through final design, using AutoCAD Civil 3D and advanced modeling workflows.
Land Surveying / Geomatics
Surveying and mapping services using Trimble GPS, electronic total stations, scanners, terrestrial LiDAR, and data collectors. In-house data collection integrates directly into engineering design systems for improved coordination and precision.
Materials Testing
Full-service in-house materials testing laboratory supporting geotechnical assessments, geologic evaluations, and construction quality assurance. Field quality control services use nuclear density gauges and concrete and asphalt testing apparatus.
Machine Control
Machine control setup and support integrating survey data, digital design models, and GPS/GNSS positioning to provide real-time grade guidance in the field. Services reduce rework, improve accuracy, and support earthwork and site grading operations.
Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS)
Licensed drone pilots and UAS technology supporting aerial data collection from site planning through construction monitoring. SRS brings more than 500 combined flight hours and over 25,000 acres of processed flights, delivering point clouds, 3D terrain models, and high-resolution aerial imagery.

Jeremy Baker brings over 30 years of experience in the energy sector, engineering, surveying, construction management, and infrastructure development. He holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, and Surveying Engineering from New Mexico State University. His project experience spans transportation, utility, drainage, site development, right-of-way, industrial, and energy projects for municipal, county, state, federal, and private-sector clients, including oil and gas infrastructure, pipeline systems, power generation facilities, and renewable energy developments.
