Dr. Kent Yu has over seventeen years of experience in structural, earthquake, and tsunami engineering alongside community resilience planning. He specializes in advanced performance-based analysis, seismic retrofits, and structural design for high-performance civic, healthcare, and educational facilities. Dr. Yu previously chaired the Oregon Seismic Safety Policy Advisory Commission, leading the creation of The Oregon Resilience Plan, and has advised the Beaverton School District, the City of Gresham, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology on disaster readiness. Prior to establishing SEFT Consulting Group, he was a Principal and Branch Manager at Degenkolb Engineers in Portland.
