Sanders Pulsed Power LLC was founded in 2017 in Batavia, Illinois, to deliver engineering services, systems, and components to the pulsed power community. Early clients included Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory and private companies in the industrial and medical sectors. In 2021, operations relocated to Innovation Park at Notre Dame, adding a private laboratory, electronics assembly space, and dedicated test facilities. National laboratory clients now include Brookhaven National Laboratory, Los Alamos National Laboratory, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory, alongside cooperative arrangements with Notre Dame's Nanofabrication Facility, Innovation Lab, and Physics Machine Shop.

Howard Sanders holds bachelor and masters degrees in Engineering Physics from Cornell University. He is a co-inventor on six patents, including three on packaging and triggering of compact high voltage solid state switches and one on a high voltage panel for non-destructive tire testing. Sanders has served as primary investigator on a DoD SBIR Phase II project and as primary experimentalist on three DoE SBIR Phase II projects. Notable project work includes the 1MA, 1MV COBRA accelerator built for Cornell University, a 200 kV, 4.5 kA, 300 ns solid state pulsed power system at the Naval Research Laboratory, and the Muon G-2 Electrostatic Quadrupole drivers at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory. Prior positions include Silicon Power Corporation, Applied Pulsed Power Inc., Porous Materials Inc., and Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He has been an IEEE member since 2008 and serves on the technical committee of the International Power Modulator and High Voltage Conference.
