Michael Stepic has over 29 years of experience in civil and environmental engineering, specifically in solid waste management. He has managed and served as technical lead on design, permitting, and compliant operations for a range of projects including small family-owned operations, municipal government agencies, and multi-million-dollar programs for large Fortune 500 clients. He also has significant experience in coal combustion residuals, construction and demolition debris, residual, industrial and hazardous waste management, surface impoundment closures, long linear projects such as conveyor systems and pipelines, landfill redevelopment, stormwater management, and closed landfill issues.

Thomas Selle

Thomas Selle has 10 years of experience in environmental and civil engineering, with a focus on large-scale landfill design and construction oversight in Ohio and Tennessee. His work includes site layout and grading, stormwater management design, construction plan generation in AutoCAD Civil 3D, material takeoffs and bid tab generation, technical report writing, contractor submittal and RFI review, and field tasks.

Sonja Crooks has 21 years of experience in civil and environmental engineering. She has managed design and client management tasks for solid waste and municipal water and wastewater projects, and has been instrumental in closed landfill redevelopment and improvement projects across Ohio.

Virginia Wilson

Sr. Environmental Engineer

PE

Virginia Wilson has 32 years of professional regulatory experience with the Ohio EPA, including 16 years in the Division of Material and Waste Management and 16 years in the Division of Surface Water. Her work involved developing guidance documents and rules, reviewing solid waste and C&DD landfill permits-to-install, performing construction inspections, slope stability and settlement analysis through the Geotechnical Resource Group, NPDES permit writing, and serving as permits supervisor for the Ohio EPA Northeast District Office.

Donna Kniss

Chemical Engineer

Donna Kniss holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and worked in Ohio EPA Surface Water Division for 24 years, concentrating on evaluating industrial pretreatment programs, assessing proposed industrial wastewater treatment systems, and providing training to the regulatory community. Her earlier experience includes evaluating NPDES permit data, preparing SARA and NESHAP reports, developing sampling campaigns for low-level radioactive waste, and inspecting hazardous waste storage areas.

Megan Talcott

Environmental Scientist

Megan Talcott has nearly 15 years of environmental science experience, including time as a regulator with the Ohio EPA focused on air pollution control and as a municipal stormwater coordinator managing MS4 compliance. Her current work assists clients with stormwater and air pollution compliance.

Clinton Bowen

Environmental Technician

Clinton Bowen has over two years of experience in site civil, solid waste, environmental, and stormwater engineering design, with technical skills in AutoCAD drafting and report generation.

Scott Lefton

Project Engineer

Scott Lefton is a University of Akron graduate who participated in the cooperative work program for three semesters prior to joining full time. His work includes site layout and grading, stormwater management design, and construction plan generation in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Previous experience in the geotechnical engineering field covered soils exploration, lab testing and analysis, and construction quality control.
