Robertson-Bryan, Inc. (RBI) is a multi-disciplinary consulting firm of scientists and engineers in California specializing in water and power resource planning, wastewater engineering and regulatory compliance, water quality, aquatic and terrestrial biological resources, and water resource modeling. Founded in 2000 by Stuart Robertson and Michael Bryan, RBI draws on years of proven consulting and research experience to address technical, economic, and regulatory issues simultaneously. It has built well-established relationships with resource agencies, water and irrigation districts, municipalities, and public and private organizations throughout California, and is recognized for combining sound scientific principles with innovative approaches to complex water and environmental challenges.
RBI supports wastewater utility managers and regulatory agencies through NPDES permit facilitation and renewal, development of alternative discharge limits, and regional leadership in refining water quality standards. Services include permit negotiations, special studies, compliance with the Clean Water Act and California Porter-Cologne Water Quality Control Act.
