Overview

Rink International is an independent engineering laboratory providing advanced testing services to government, military, and industrial clients needing engineering development, forensic analysis, and failure investigation. Operating out of Idaho, it tests technologies including microelectronic components, implantable medical devices, energetic components, advanced sensors, and micro-propulsion systems. The laboratory's capabilities include hermetic leak detection, pressure vessel testing, combustion and internal ballistics analysis, and technical consulting.

Dr. Karl Rink

Founder and Lead Engineer

PhD Mechanical Engineering

Dr. Karl Rink is the founder and lead engineer of Rink International. He is an adjunct professor at the University of Idaho, where he has taught mechanical and chemical engineering for over 20 years. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah, an MS in Engineering from Purdue University, and a BS in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanics from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Rink has co-authored over 50 U.S. patents, published in dozens of scientific journals, and served as an advisor to organizations such as NASA, the US Navy, and the US Air Force, as well as holding management positions at Autoliv, Infinia, Qnergy, and Morton International.
