Process and Utility System Design

Prince Engineering designs process chemical and utility systems including material and energy balances, P&ID and distribution diagrams, equipment sizing calculations and specifications, equipment general arrangement drawings, piping material specifications, detailed piping drawings, fabrication isometrics with BOM, and pipe supports.

Industrial HVAC and Exhaust System Design

Design of industrial HVAC and exhaust systems including load calculations, P&ID and distribution diagrams, equipment sizing calculations and specifications, equipment general arrangement drawings, ductwork material specifications, detailed ductwork drawings, and ductwork supports.

Flue Gas and Process Ductwork Design

Design of high-temperature flue gas and process ductwork including material specifications, ductwork reinforcement design, expansion joint specifications, detailed layout drawings, fabrication drawings with BOM, and ductwork supports.

Machine Design

Design of custom or prototype automated machines using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Autodesk Inventor, including conceptual models and detailed 3D drawings with bills of material.

3D Modeling and BIM

Development of 3D models of equipment, piping, and HVAC system designs using the latest versions of Revit, Plant 3D, and Inventor. Incorporates 3D laser scans into the design process to coordinate with existing conditions and uses Navisworks, BIM 360, and other 3D tools to coordinate multi-discipline designs and eliminate clashes prior to installation. Generates plans, sections, and fabrication isometrics with BOM from clash-free models.

Project Scope, Budget, and Schedule Development

Development of design and construction requirements including detailed scopes of work, design budget requirements, construction cost estimating, and schedules.

GE Gas Turbine Piping Relocation

Piping design for relocation of an existing bucket repair process from Houston, TX into a 28,000-square-foot warehouse at GE's Greenville facility. Over eighty pieces of equipment were relocated or repurposed. Scope included field verification and piping design for compressed air, process water, process cooling water, argon, nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, process drain, and exhaust distribution.

Process, piping, and HVAC design for production areas at the Ritrama facility. Process scope included P&ID development and equipment specifications for boiler, air compressor, chilled water, and adhesive systems. Piping scope included steam, condensate, compressed air, service water, chilled water, and natural gas systems. HVAC scope included load calculations, air distribution, ventilation, and equipment selection.
