MK Engineers, Ltd. is an electrical engineering consulting practice founded in 1972 and based in Mililani, Central Oahu. As President of the practice, Mr. Uyeda is responsible for administrative and business management as well as developing a culture of excellence. A graduate of the University of Hawaii with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, he has over 30 years of experience preparing numerous designs including primary distribution, substations, secondary distribution, standby power, lighting, fire alarm, security, and telecommunications systems. He is also adept at computer modeling of interior and exterior electrical distribution systems and developing long range master plans for large facilities and campuses as well as arc flash studies.

Russell Mori has over 30 years of experience in construction-related design of electrical systems for industrial, commercial, institutional, military, and residential projects. He received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hawaii. He has prepared numerous designs of highway and street lighting, telecommunications systems, primary and secondary power, standby power, SCADA, renewable energy sources, controls, and security systems.

Aaron Hamada earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hawaii and has over 30 years of experience in the design of all types of electrical and lighting systems for industrial, commercial, institutional, and residential projects. He has prepared designs of highway and street lighting and has extensive experience in the design and construction supervision of large electrical projects, including primary and secondary distribution systems for educational facilities, harbors, airports, and military installations.

Ron Katahara obtained his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado. With over 47 years of experience, he is the senior engineer at the practice and has extensive knowledge in the design and management of large electrical projects. His expertise includes primary substations, primary and secondary distribution, shore power substations, and street and highway lighting systems. He has served as supervising principal for the electrical, telecommunications, and highway lighting relocation aspects of the Honolulu High Capacity Transit Project.
