Overview

McGettrick Structural Engineering, Inc. is a structural analysis and optimization practice serving the aircraft industry. Operating for two decades, the practice specializes in finite element analysis using FEMAP and NX/NASTRAN, supporting clients with structural analysis of new aircraft designs, interior monuments, STC modifications, and major repairs. It provides FAA Structural and Loads DER services across Parts 23 and 25, working in both metal and composite primary structures.

Michael McGettrick

Chief Engineer

PE, FAA DER

Michael McGettrick has over 30 years of experience in the aircraft industry. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Aeronautical/Aerospace in the state of Kansas, as well as an FAA Structures and Loads DER. Prior to establishing the practice, he spent seven years at Beech Aircraft gaining fundamental knowledge of composites and metal aircraft design, manufacturing, and repair. He holds both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from Wichita State University and is an IFR and Commercial rated pilot.
