TRC-170 Tropo-Scatter Power Supply Redesign

U.S. Marine Corps / U.S. Army | Defense

Designed and submitted prototype DC power supplies for the TRC-170 Tropo-scatter communication system that are cooled without drawing air through the supply. Prototypes were accepted by both the Marine Corps depot at Albany and the Army depot at Tobyhanna.

He has since expanded his capabilities into component-level repair on a vast array of electronic and test equipment as well as research and design. He handles marketing and personnel in addition to his technical work.

Kurt Goodyear

Kurt Goodyear began a 45-year career in electronics as a radio technician in the Marine Corps, later working as a civilian employee on flight simulators and ground electronics. He spent 18 years in Army civil service repairing and calibrating electronic test equipment before founding Goodyear Electronics after earning a master's degree in electrical engineering from Georgia Tech.

Richard Pracht has more than 34 years of experience in systems engineering and high-speed digital hardware design. He is fluent in both VHDL and System Verilog FPGA programming languages, with extensive experience programming Altera, Xilinx, Actel, and Lattice devices. He served six years in the U.S. Navy and holds both a bachelor's and master's degree in electrical engineering from Georgia Tech.
