Michael Bret Thurmond
President and Principal Engineer
P.E.
Bret Thurmond, President of AMT, oversees all operations and specializes in a multidisciplinary, team-based approach to design and construction. He provides direct oversight and management of civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing engineering services. With over 30 years of practice in 13 states, his experience includes the new construction and rehabilitation of water and wastewater utilities, storm water drainage projects, and road projects, working extensively with multiple municipalities in Georgia on public-funded engineering initiatives.
David Matheny
Vice President and Principal Architect

David Matheny has practiced architecture for almost four decades and serves as Partner in Charge of Architecture at AMT as well as Vice President. Registered in 12 states, he is the former President of the American Institute of Architects-Georgia and previously served as senior architect with the office of Campus Planning at the University of Georgia in Athens. He provides a wide range of architectural services, from complete facility design to adaptive re-use of historic buildings and the modification of existing structures.

Weston Baumgartner is a registered architect with two decades of experience in design and construction.
