Nationwide Retaining Wall Design Services
Engineered Earth Solutions, LLC (EES) is a nationally recognized geotechnical and forensic engineering firm based in Woodstock, Georgia, specializing in the design of retaining walls and reinforced earth structures. With over 60 years of combined expertise, EES engineers design modular block retaining walls, pressure relief walls, cast-in-place concrete walls, tie-back anchored walls, soil nail structures, over-steepened slopes, stream channel protection systems, helical piers, and embankments over soft soils. Professional Engineers at EES are licensed in all 50 states, DC, and Puerto Rico. Over 10,000 earth structures totaling more than 40,000,000 square feet are in service nationwide. EES serves municipalities, developers, civil engineers, contractors, architects, and property owners in the public, commercial, and residential sectors across the United States and Canada.
EES evaluates project grading plans, site photographs, and geotechnical information to estimate complete quantities for retaining wall and earth structure projects.
EES produces signed and sealed construction drawings and calculations meeting NCMA, AASHTO, and applicable guidelines. Final designs include internal and external stability analysis, global stability, rapid drawdown, and seismic stability analysis as required, plus quantity takeoffs. All documents are issued for construction.
EES engineers and technicians provide daily on-site construction verification, confirming design parameters, performing soil tests, and verifying construction per design documents. Upon completion, the engineer of record issues a signed and sealed letter for municipal submission.
EES provides forensic investigation of landslides and retaining wall and slope failures nationwide, determining the cause of failure and providing repair solutions. Failure types addressed include poor construction, global stability, bearing capacity, sliding, facing connection failures, and hydrostatic pressure.
