Overview
Electro Magnetic Applications, Inc. (EMA) is a world-class provider of electromagnetic (EM) effects simulation, consulting, and measurement services celebrating over 45 years of innovation and excellence. EMA develops and supports the Ansys EMC Plus (formerly EMA3D Cable) and Ansys Charge Plus (formerly EMA3D Charge) 3D simulation software sold through Ansys, and operates a commercial Space Environment and Radiation Effects (SERE) testing facility. It serves automotive, aerospace, defense, and transportation clients in areas including EMC, HIRF, lightning certification, RF cosite interference, antenna pattern distortion, RCS, spacecraft charging, and space radiation effects.
Services
3D Electromagnetic Simulation Software
Development and support of Ansys EMC Plus (FDTD + multi-conductor transmission line solver for EMC, HIRF, and lightning) and Ansys Charge Plus (surface/internal charging, arcing, and dielectric breakdown simulation for space and high-voltage systems). Both products are sold exclusively through Ansys.
EM Effects Consulting Services
Direct consulting support for automotive, aerospace, defense, and transportation customers in all aspects of EM effects and certification to meet performance and mission requirements.
RF Interference (RFI) Analysis
Identification and mitigation of complex RF interference problems for space, ground, air, and sea platforms serving commercial and military customers.
Space Environment and Radiation Effects (SERE) Testing
World-class test and measurement capabilities combined with modern simulation tools to determine how materials and components perform in space radiation environments. Operated in conjunction with Ansys Charge Plus as the world's first commercial SERE test facility.
Measurement Services
Testing and measurement services for civilian certification (DO-160), military certification (MIL-STD), antenna performance, and system characterization for R&D programs, conducted with EMA partners.
