He has more than 20 years of experience, with expertise in nuclear waste storage, radionuclide dose predictions, environmental restoration, environmental modeling, and water resources protection. He has designed and implemented remediation technologies to restore soil and water quality, and has served as an adjunct instructor in groundwater modeling and fluid dynamics.

Donald D. Dr. Carpenter also serves as Director of the Great Lakes Stormwater Management Institute at Lawrence Technological University.
