DLB & Associates, LLC is a land surveying and mapping company located in Hilo, on the east side of Hawaii Island. Founded in August 2010 by Daniel L. Boundary Survey
Establishes the perimeter of a property as it relates to its legal description. Typically performed when property changes hands or when owners want to know boundary lines, setbacks, or easements. In Hawaii, re-establishing lost or obliterated boundaries requires consideration of monument character, occupation, adjoining monuments, and junior/senior rights.
K-1 / K-2 Staking Survey
K-1 Staking includes marking of the property boundaries on the ground. K-2 Staking includes detailed paper documentation and a map of the property in addition to ground staking.
Subdivisions & Easements
Surveys and documentation for subdivision easements incorporated into property owners' deeds and subdivision covenants.
Hawaii Certified Shoreline Survey
Field location of the shoreline in accordance with Hawaii state definitions, including existing property lines located and platted by instrument survey and property corners marked on the ground by a registered land surveyor.
FEMA Elevation Certificate
Official record for permit files showing new buildings and substantial improvements in Special Flood Hazard Areas (SFHAs) are properly elevated, as required for floodplain management ordinance compliance and flood insurance.
Topographic Survey
Detailed survey locating all surface features of a property and depicting all natural features and elevations. Produces a 3-dimensional map showing natural and man-made features and improvements, including location, size, height, and changes in elevation.
Construction Layout Survey
Building-plan review and ground stakeout to mark building-site elements.
Control Network Survey

He began with optical theodolites, steel tapes, and trig calculators and has worked through GPS satellites, the Internet, and powerful field computers.
