V. O. "Dean" Tekell, Jr. is the principal engineer and owner of the practice. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Louisiana in 1980 and has been a registered professional engineer in Louisiana since 1984. He has been nationally certified as a professional traffic operations engineer since 1999. Prior to entering private practice, he spent 16 years with the City and Parish of Lafayette, Louisiana, primarily serving as the City/Parish Transportation Engineer, where he was responsible for traffic control devices across 2,000 miles of roadways and assisted law enforcement with numerous fatal and serious injury crash investigations.

Joshua Tekell obtained his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, with an emphasis on Power Engineering, from Louisiana State University in 2007. Since joining the practice in 2008, he has specialized in traffic safety and accident reconstruction, earning certifications in Traffic Crash Investigation, Traffic Crash Reconstruction, and Crash Data Retrieval and Analysis. He is ACTAR certified.
