Matt Tomerlin is the President of Datapoint, a multi-discipline engineering and surveying practice that he founded in 2020. He is a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in both Texas and New Mexico with more than 15 years of land survey experience, ten of which have been primarily focused in the energy industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology/Surveying and Mapping from the University of Texas at Tyler.

Matt Morris is the Vice President of Datapoint. He has more than 14 years of experience in the survey industry. From the Eagle Ford shale to the Permian Basin, Matt has coordinated and managed dozens of crews and assisted with the development of numerous midstream and upstream companies and projects. Matt takes pride in the quality of service provided on all projects and holds his team to high standards of accountability.

Adrian Reyes

Adrian Reyes is the Vice President of Survey Operations at Datapoint. He is a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in Kentucky, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Texas. With more than 27 years of experience and a background as a U.S. Army 3rd Ranger Battalion veteran, Adrian brings expertise in transportation, land development, renewable energy, municipal, and oil and gas sectors.

Ryan Costello

Vice President of Survey Operations

Ryan Costello serves as Vice President of Survey Operations at Datapoint and has built a 20+-year career rooted in field and executive survey operations. He started out on a survey crew and worked in every operational position before assuming leadership roles. Ryan is a licensed Professional Land Surveyor in both Texas and Oklahoma and earned his A.A.S. in Survey Technology from Oklahoma State University-Oklahoma City. His experience spans energy, utility, and infrastructure projects where he drives operational excellence and innovation.

Wesley Purvis

Director of Operations

Wesley Purvis is the Director of Operations at Datapoint. He brings over 14 years of extensive experience in managing projects both in-office and in the field. Throughout his career, Wesley has primarily concentrated on energy-related projects, successfully bringing thousands of miles of midstream pipeline designs to completion. His proficiency in civil and construction surveying services is highly valuable as he collaborates closely with his team to deliver results for clients.

Travis Lung is the Director of Engineering for Datapoint and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas. He brings more than 30 years of diverse civil engineering experience, gained through service in the U.S. Air Force and in the private sector. His dedication, passion, integrity, and technical expertise are central to engineering excellence and reliability.

Shawn Napier

Director of Engineering

Shawn Napier serves as Director of Engineering at Datapoint and is a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas with more than three decades of experience in civil design and construction. He has led engineering and development projects for municipal, commercial, and industrial clients, with deep experience in infrastructure, utilities, and site development. Prior to joining Datapoint, Shawn served for 14 years as the Director of Engineering, Planning and Development for the City of Paris.

Tim Pappas serves as the Director of Survey Operations at Datapoint and is a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, and Wyoming. Additionally, he is a certified Part 107 sUAS pilot. With 31 years of experience, Tim has worked extensively in both field and office environments on survey projects nationwide, spanning land development, oil and gas, TxDOT, and electric transmission.

Tyler Willis is the Senior Survey Manager at Datapoint. He is a Registered Professional Land Surveyor in Arkansas, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. With more than 15 years of surveying experience utilizing both hydrographic and terrestrial applications across diverse industries and markets, Tyler brings a wealth of expertise to every project. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Geomatics from Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and also holds a degree in Business from Missouri Southern State University.

Austin Doran is the Regional Survey Manager at Datapoint. With more than 17 years in the surveying industry, he has extensive experience in civil and oil and gas projects, including pipeline surveys, boundary surveys, and safety management. Austin is recognized for his strengths in team leadership, data analysis, and building strong client relationships. He is dedicated to continuous learning, mentoring others, and driving business growth through meaningful industry connections.

Zach McEwin

Zach McEwin is a Survey Manager at Datapoint with more than 7 years of experience in both field and office operations. His background spans civil, municipal, land development, and state transportation projects with TxDOT and ODOT. Zach earned a Bachelor of Science in Technology/Construction Management from East Texas A&M University.
