Cottrell & Cottrell, LLC is an engineering consultancy delivering integrated technical, project, and business services to the offshore, inland, and marine industries. The practice combines expertise in naval architecture, marine and mechanical engineering, structural engineering, mooring and rigging design, heavy lift operations, and project management. Led by Roy Cottrell, who brings more than 40 years of marine and oil and gas experience, the practice supports clients from preliminary design and feasibility studies through shipyard construction, drydock certification, and litigation support. Roy Cottrell founded Cottrell & Cottrell after accumulating more than 40 years in the marine and oil and gas industries. He has held senior engineering and project management positions across shipbuilding, mono-hull design, single point mooring, and offshore floating platforms, from hull to systems and hardware. Roy holds a BS in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the University of Michigan, an MS in Mechanical Engineering from San Diego State University, and an MBA from Rice University.
