BBFM Engineers, Inc. has been a mainstay of Alaska's structural engineering community since 1996. Serving design professionals, building owners, and government agencies, BBFM delivers structural engineering on rural and urban projects across Alaska, Antarctica, and Greenland. As an arctic and sub-arctic specialist, it brings deep knowledge of local geological conditions and cold-region logistics to every project. Its portfolio spans educational campuses, commercial buildings, civic structures, medical facilities, housing, hospitality, industrial work, and retrofits and restorations. BBFM holds four Alaska Engineer of the Year awards from eight nominations and was the first firm in the state to apply the Side Plate Moment Frame system; it is also among the few Alaskan firms experienced with Buckling-Restrained Braced Frames.
