Jim Baker

Founder & President

Jim Baker is a veteran mariner with a career spanning several decades. Starting as an offshore deckhand, he rose through the ranks and spent approximately 15 years sailing on offshore vessels before serving as Marine Manager for a commercial diving firm. He founded BMS in 2008 and is actively involved in professional and industry organizations such as OMSA, SNAME, MTS, and SOMWS.

Adam Sokol started his career as a Mate on ROV and supply vessels in the Gulf of Mexico, rising to Chief Mate and Master on drill ships. He worked ashore in mining and manufacturing sectors for oil and gas products before returning to marine assurance.

Blake Fussell has extensive project management and technical experience in the deep waters of the Gulf of Mexico. He was involved in the early development and deployment of Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) equipment packages and services, progressing from field specialist to MPD Superintendent.
