This restoration project preserves and protects existing coastal habitat while providing areas of secondary shellfish productivity. It features three main components: six miles of living shoreline using a segmented rock breakwater, 46 acres of subtidal reef, and approximately 46 acres of marsh.

Scorpion Anchorage Pier Replacement

The project relocated and replaced Scorpion Pier and its access road on Santa Cruz Island to improve park operations and safe visitor access. The design incorporates features that mitigate flooding and accommodate future projected changes in sea level without requiring full replacement, tailored for construction in an island volcanic rock environment.
