Dr. Hashemian cofounded AMS in 1977 as a spinoff of ORNL and the University of Tennessee. Under his leadership AMS has delivered I&C testing equipment, training, and services to 26 countries. He holds doctoral degrees in electrical, nuclear, and computer engineering and is a Fellow of IEEE, the International Society of Automation, and the American Nuclear Society. He is an adjunct professor at Georgia Institute of Technology and the University of Tennessee - Knoxville, and has authored 22 U.S. patents plus three books on instrumentation and control in nuclear power plants.
