Department of State Passport Processing Operations

U.S. Department of State | Federal

Altron has supported the Department of State's passport processing lifecycle for over 25 years, providing field operations support at the National Passport Center (NPC) and Charleston Passport Center (CPC). Support includes scaling production during demand surges (Hurricane Katrina 2005, Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative 2007), continuous process improvement, knowledge management, document transfer protocols, encryption practices, security analyses, and forensic research related to fraud and identity theft.

Team Submarine - Mission-Critical Systems Integration

U.S. Navy | Defense

As part of Team Submarine, Altron integrated new technologies including virtualization, cloud computing services, Video Over IP for real-time UAV missions, and a microservices virtualized architecture to improve interface development and subsystem independence.

Mike Gercken

Mike Gercken serves as President of Altron, providing strategic and operational oversight across all business areas. He previously served as Vice President before becoming President when Altron merged with Provident Analysis Corporation (PAC) in 2009, an IT solutions and services business he co-founded. He brings over 35 years of experience in engineering and technology solutions for government and commercial clients, spanning software and systems engineering, enterprise architecture, and research and development. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Virginia Tech, an M.S. in Computer Science from George Mason University, and a Certificate in Software Systems Engineering from George Mason University.

Mike Zaramba

Chairman of the Board and Chief Financial Officer

B.S. Management/Industrial Engineering (WPI); MBA Finance (University of Maryland Smith School)

Mike Zaramba serves as Chairman of the Board and CFO, overseeing strategic planning and all corporate support functions including accounting, finance, budgeting, human resources, risk management, contracts, and compliance. He brings over 30 years of senior executive experience in fast-growing service environments. He is founder of Halyard Associates and previously served as CFO for Pragmatics, Inc. and as CFO and CSO at Stanley, Inc. (NYSE: SXE), helping grow that business from $10M to $400M. He holds a B.S. in Management/Industrial Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and an MBA in Finance from the University of Maryland Smith School.

Brad Brisson

Vice President of Finance and Professional Services

Brad Brisson joined Altron in 2005 as a Processing Manager at the Charleston Passport Center and was promoted to the corporate office in 2007 as Operations Manager. He serves as Altron's Facility Security Officer and performs program management duties for several contracts. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from The Citadel and obtained a certification as a Project Management Professional in 2009.

Carter Bradshaw

Carter Bradshaw oversees Altron's engineering operations and aligns engineering efforts with strategic goals. He brings over 30 years of experience in systems and software engineering, architecture, and solution delivery. Prior to his VP role, he led Altron's Technology Solutions business unit. Before joining Altron in 2009, he was a senior software engineer at Provident Analysis Corporation (PAC), where he served as lead developer and interfaced with government entities on mission requirements. He holds an M.S. in Computer Science from George Mason University and a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech.

Mary Catherine McAllister

Director of Human Resources

Mary Catherine McAllister leads Altron's human resources department, overseeing talent acquisition, compensation, employee relations, compliance, and performance management. She brings over a decade of expertise in HR operations and talent management. She previously served as Senior HR Consultant at Strategic Results Consulting, HR Manager at pureIntegration, and HR Generalist at Octo. She holds a bachelor's degree from Christopher Newport University and is SHRM certified.
