Alex Charvat is the founding member and engineer behind Alexander Structures. A native of Wisconsin, he holds a BS in Forestry and an MS in Structural Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Charvat has worked at the Forest Products Lab in Madison, served as a forester in Oregon, and managed the engineering and design team for a large log home builder in Wisconsin. He serves as the Engineer of Record for the Log Home Council's Log Grading Program and is a former Chairman of its Log Grading Committee. He has personally built multiple log structures and is a registered Professional Engineer in multiple states.
