Brian Thompson
Principal
P.E.
Brian Thompson, P.E. is the founder and principal of AEGIS Engineering. He earned a master's degree in fire protection engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and entered the fire protection field in 1993. His professional background includes firefighting, forensic investigation, and civil engineering, with previous experience at consultancies in Chicago and San Francisco. He has advised the Washington State Building Code Council, served on the Public Policy Task Group for the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE), and represented architects and engineers on the Washington State Labor and Industries Elevator Safety Advisory Council. In 2017, Consulting-Specifying Engineer honored him as one of 40 building industry professionals under the age of 40.
